About Red Roof Retreat
Since 2001, Red Roof Retreat, a Niagara Region Charity, has provided opportunities for children and young adults with special needs to participate in summer camp programs, day programs, and educational programs at two fully accessible locations.
Respite services are now available for ages 3 through to 18 years.
Red Roof Retreat provides respite, recreation and education for children and young adults with a variety of special needs, including:
• summer day camp for ages 5 to 21
• respite services for overnight, weekend and
emergencies
• daytime activities for young adults
• continuing education for care givers and professionals
• creating awareness of issues for people with special
needs
• educational school trips for all ages
• horse back riding
Future Plans
• long-term residential care
• therapeutic experiences, including music, OT and PT camps
• continuing education for care givers and professionals
• seminars and training for family members, care
providers and professionals
• partnerships with individuals and organizations
interested in providing exceptional learning
opportunities for people with special needs
